THE INVITATION
A First Look at Membership
Experience Bread & Butter for the first time through our Annual Invitation Event. While attending is not required to apply, it's a wonderful opportunity to experience our community before membership applications open.
What Your Guest Experience Includes
Are tickets refundable?
Tickets are non-refundable.
If you can no longer attend, you may transfer your ticket to another guest by emailing us before the event with their full name and email address. If this occurs 2 weeks before the event the new guest may not have a custom name plate tag.
What is included with my ticket?
Your Guest Experience Ticket includes:
• Admission to Italian Villa on Saturday, August 22, 2026
• Access to the private Italian Villa Guest List
• Book discussions leading up to the event
• Dinner
• Immersive event design
• Curated guest gifts and special surprises
Where is the event?
The venue location and arrival instructions will be emailed after your ticket purchase.
When will I receive event information?
Immediately after purchasing your ticket, you'll receive information about joining the private guest community. Additional event communications, including location details and arrival instructions, will be sent leading up to August 22.
Can I bring a friend?
Absolutely! Each guest must purchase their own ticket.
Do I have to attend Italian Villa to apply?
No.
The Annual Invitation Event is open to everyone. Attending is not required to submit a membership application.
Does purchasing a ticket guarantee membership?
No.
Membership remains application-based to preserve the intimate nature of our community.
When do Q3 applications open?
Applications open in August for our next membership cohort.
Do I have to read the book?
Yes—we ask all guests to come having started the book. The story is at the heart of our conversations and helps create the shared experience that makes Bread & Butter so special.
Didn't quite make it to the last page? Don't worry—we've all been there. You'll simply have to hold up our infamous "I Didn't Finish the Book" sign for a quick (and very lighthearted) photo before we dive into the discussion. Consider it part of the fun.
How many memberships are available?
Membership is intentionally limited each year to preserve the intimate experience and meaningful connections that define Bread & Butter.
Will there be another membership application opening this year?
No. Q3 is the final membership application period for 2026. After applications close, the next opportunity to apply for in-person membership will be in 2028.
If you're interested in joining our community before then, we encourage you to submit your application during the current Q3 application window.
